As a Senior Director for Partnership Engagement you will be working on the Strategic Professional Affairs team, you will be empowered to provide strategic leadership of overall governance framework and relationship with Takeda s full service R&D global operations partners and provide leadership to optimize the success, value and efficiency of R&D global operations partners.


Strategic leadership for the Clinical Trial, Global Patient Safety Evaluation, Global Regulatory Affairs and Global Clinical Supplies Operating Models for the partnerships and oversee all corresponding Operating Committees


Primary leadership across Takeda s full service R&D global operations partnerships

Lead joint governance between Takeda and the global partners

Define and lead the governance interface with legacy partners

Lead the relationship interface between other vendors (e.g., functional service provider for data management and pharmacovigilance) and the strategic partners

Provide direct, constructive and timely feedback to the global strategic partners to effectively resolve issues and improve performance

Identify and implement actions to improve efficiency of Takeda-partner interface to reduce redundant activities while ensuring reliable delivery

Provide strategic leadership for the design of the demand forecasting (clinical trial delivery, GPSE, GRA and GCS).

Provide strategic leadership for the Clinical trial, GPSE, GRA and GCS operating models to assure appropriate end state models with continuous improvement

Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the operating models for Clinical Trials, GPSE, GRA and Global Clinical Supplies.


BS/BA degree required; advanced technical degree preferred

10+ years of applicable drug development experience, global experience with 5+ years of line management or team leadership experience

Proven experience with vendor relationship management in the R&D area

Demonstrated success in effectively managing external suppliers including negotiation and relationship management skills

Knowledge of clinical study processes including clinical operations, data management, safety, analysis and reporting

Understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry R&D strategies and operating model, especially regarding GPSE, GRA and GCS

Experience leading within a complex organization and demonstrated ability to work across functions and regions, at all levels without direct authority
