Provide analytical support by proactively monitoring business developments and market trends, research, project coordination, and maintains related tools and systems required by Novo Nordisk’s US Insulin brands. Create, refine and update quantitative tracking models and systems, along with documented supporting assumptions. Develop communications materials including slides and reports reflecting clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for key stakeholders.
Proactively support Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI) and Insulin Franchise in developing strategic vision via in-depth portfolio and brand-specific market analyses. Contribute to strategic insights development and understanding of channel performance, pull-through, as well as ability to triangulate multiples resources to develop innovative solutions to complex, unstructured problems with minimal guidance.
Provide support to market research and analytic partners via tactical execution and management of advanced analytics and business trends; provide guidance on research recruitment, identification and complementing business gaps, ensuring efficiencies through cross-functional collaborations related to market understanding.
Reports to the Director, Insulin Franchise Internal relationships include close interactions with cross functional colleagues in Finance & Operations, Marketing, Medical, Market Access as well as global partners. Proactively support analytics and insights related to insulin business. External relationships include interactions with external data partners, consultants, and market research partners.
Collaboration & Communication: Develop and sustain close working relationships with key business partners, including commercial, medical and operations business colleagues (US & Global) as required. Proactively monitoring areas of concern or opportunity for enhancements and lead recommendations/proposals, lead and co-lead relevant analysis as needed. Development and execution of presentations with clear storylines, grounded on holistic business concepts and communicate key conclusions and business recommendations/implications (what/so what and now what) to business partners and peers through formal and informal channels. Data & Process Management: Contribute to hypotheses driven investigations into detailed channel dynamics, prescriber, patient and transactional data. Maintain catalog of standardized market definitions and analytical business rules used within the analyses and reports, while proactively monitoring areas of concern or opportunity for enhancements. Maintains and develops (in close collaboration with internal IT) databases and analytic applications in environments such as SAP, Excel/Access, and/or other proprietary environments. Updates and process secondary data feeds from industry sources (e.g. QIMS prescriber, payer, patient and promotional sources, etc) and internal data (call files, sales data, etc.) into excel and/or other custom programs. Leverages internal data systems and tools to efficiently maintain data and reporting processes to minimize manual data updates. Creates and update the catalog of standardized market definitions and analytical business rules used within the analyses and reports. Maintain detailed master-calendar of key deliverables, including lead times for editing and approval processes; collaborate within CE and key stakeholders to proactively provide updates, while addressing areas of risk or opportunities, through clear communications. Ensures timely receipt of data from vendors and ensures data integrity and quality throughout all processes. Support and develop analyses for team and business partners and other business groups (e.g. identification of key performance indicators/leading indicators, ad-hoc customer segment-level reports and trend reports for internal teams).
Market Research Partnership: Contribute to the day-to-day project management of qualitative and quantitative marketing research projects, collaborating with data trends (i.e. prescriber, patient, payer data) to inform targeting and recruitment, with supervision of senior market researchers. Support the planning process development of market and brand-based situation analysis to identify trends, gaps and opportunities, as well as relevant identification and development of metrics (key performance indicators and leading indicators) by partnering with Obesity Insights and Analytics team, as well as other peers in Commercial Effectiveness and business colleagues.
Indepth Data Mining in Support of Customer Insights: Interprets and contextualizes analytical findings within the framework of existing body of research and market trends. Supports development of distinct, actionable business recommendations and implications. Support insights and analytics team with the development and design of key lines of investigation via custom analysis and assessments utilizing relevant and appropriate data sources and business resource. Support the development of innovative solutions to unstructured, complex problems. Support the development of recommendations via presentations with clear storylines to communicate key conclusions and actionable recommendations through formal and informal channels.
Systematic Monitoring of Business and Market Trends and Developments: Supports the refinement of timely, on-going analysis and reporting to concisely communicate relevant business issues. Maintain master-calendar of key deliverables, including lead times for editing and approval processes. Work with Senior Manager and Directors in the development, maintenance and update of national-level business and market tracking analyses according to a defined schedule. Proactively streamlines and documents processes supporting the generation of business insights and tracking reports.
Leadership and Development: Champion the Triple Bottom Line in Primary Market Research, Secondary Analytics and internal strategy consulting. Ensure alignment of initiatives to company’s overall vision aligned to the business strategic focus areas and departments goals.
