Job Description

Purpose
This position provides analytical support that drives regional sales performance. Provides analytical support to Regional Business Directors (RBD) and key partners in Commercial Execution. Maintains and enhances applicable tools and systems used for data management and analysis.

Relationships
The analyst reports to Director, Field Insights and Analytics. He/she interacts regularly with members of the Field Force Execution team, Field Regional Business Directors, IT, and key stakeholders. Other relationships include interactions with Marketing, Finance, and HR. External relationships include vendors and information technology developers.

Essential Functions
Coordinate and deliver weekly and monthly sales and performance for assigned regional business directors. Create situation analysis to develop key objectives in support of RBD business planning. Develop advanced statistical models that relative sales activities to business results and synthesize and communicate results to internal customers. Develop clear understanding of Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI) business rules, operating procedures and data governance. Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions to regional business challenges and opportunities. Participate in the development of materials for new hire training within Field Analytics team. Provide analytic support to Regional Business Directors during new product launches. Provide special analytical support such as Dashboard and report enhancements, reporting automation. Support the development of departmental systems, procedures, tools and reporting templates. Utilize data to identify trends, uncover the root causes of identified issues, and develop recommendations.

Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

* Aptitude for working in teams
* Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, or quantitative area with strong academic performance within analytic and quantitative coursework is required
* Master’s degree in relevant area preferred
* Minimum of 1 year of relevant job experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
* Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks
* Statistical programming skills (SAS, SPSS, R, MATLab, Tableau Qlik) preferred
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Strong work ethic with quality and detail orientation
* Structured problem solving skills
